Kristina Layton was born and raised around the southeast United States and studied art at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. She now lives in Parker, Colorado, with her husband, Gil, and their children, Catherine and Sam. Her paintings explore the folktales, flora and fauna, prairies and pine forests, hills and hues, mountains and music, and legends and lore of the land.
